Ramadan the Holy Month is just around the corner in the UAE and would likely begin on April 13, subject to the sighting of the moon. The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources on Thursday issued a circular determining the working hours of employees in ministries and federal entities during Ramadan.

The circular stated that the official working hours of ministries and federal entities during the Holy Month would be from 9am to 2pm.

It further stated that these timings may not apply to those whose work requires otherwise. However, no details regarding working hours for the private sectors have been announced yet.

UAE had previously announced the COVID-19 guidelines for Ramadan in the UAE.

The guidlines include avoiding all majlis and public gatherings, not holding any Family gatherings, sharing Iftar and suhoor can be only by relatives living in the same house, no collective iftar tents, no meals in front of mosque or anywhere else and restaurants cannot distribute meals inside or outside their premises.

Today more guidlines regarding performing prayers in the mosques were announced as well.
