According to Lovin Dubai, the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates will be launching Govcoins/CBDCs as the UAE’s first digital currency/bitcoin.
This move comes as a part of its 2023-2026 strategy to position itself among the world’s top 10 central banks,
“Although our company has received no official email confirming this, the crypto coin is in talks and plans for the same will be announced by 2022 or 2023” Clarified an agent from the CBUAE.
