University in Denmark Divests from Pro-Israeli Companies

The University of Copenhagen in Demark recently announced that it will divest from companies based in occupied Palestinian territories.

The university will withdraw its investments worth one million Danish krone ($145,000) from three companies Airbnb, Booking.com, and eDreams ODIGEO based in occupied territories.
The university's students have been camping on university grounds, demanding that the university divest from companies involved in Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories.
University of Copenhagen's decision to divest follows Trinity College Dublin's decision to pull its investments from Israeli companies operating in the West Bank.
The decision of these universities to divest comes after the pro-Palestinian student encampments emerged across university campuses in the US and Europe in April 2024.
