Bahrain celebrated its Olympic champions in grand style at City Centre on August 19, 2024. The Bahrain Olympic Committee organized an electrifying event where fans got to meet and greet the stars who made the nation proud at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Among the athletes celebrated were Winfred Yavi, Salwa Eid Nasser, Ahmed Tajuddin, and Gor Minasyan.

The mall was buzzing with excitement as fans lined up for selfies and autographs, creating unforgettable memories with the Olympians. The celebration featured T-shirt giveaways showcasing the athletes' achievements, adding to the festive atmosphere.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa praised the athletes for their dedication and thanked the crowd for their support, emphasizing Bahrain's commitment to nurturing world-class talent.

The ceremony honored the outstanding achievements of Team Bahrain, whose athletes brought home a stunning collection of medals, showcasing the nation’s growing strength on the global sports stage.

Bahrain’s golden girl, Winfred Yavi, captured a gold medal in the Women’s 3000m steeplechase, dazzling the world with her relentless pace and unmatched determination. Not far behind in the glory stakes, Akhmed Tazhudinov clinched another gold in the Men’s −97kg wrestling, demonstrating power and precision that left his opponents in awe.

The track was also the stage for Salwa Eid Naser, who sprinted her way to a silver medal in the Women’s 400m, adding to Bahrain’s impressive tally. And in a show of sheer strength, Gor Minasyan muscled his way to a bronze in the Men’s +102kg weightlifting, lifting spirits and weights in equal measure.
