Bahrain to Host Formula One's 2025 Pre-Season Testing

Formula 1 and the FIA have announced that the Bahrain International Circuit will host three days of pre-season testing for the 2025 season on February 26, 27, and 28. This venue has been a popular choice for testing, having hosted sessions six times since 2009 due to its reliable weather and varied track layout.

A Historic Venue

Since its debut in 2004, Bahrain was the first Middle Eastern country to host a Formula 1 race and celebrated its 20th anniversary with the 2024 Grand Prix. The 5.41 km circuit has seen victories from nine different drivers across five teams, including stars like Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, and Max Verstappen.

Exciting Season Ahead

The upcoming 2025 F1 season marks the sport's 75th anniversary, kicking off with the Australian Grand Prix from March 14-16 and wrapping up with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 5-7. This season will span 24 races across five continents, offering fans thrilling action throughout the year.

Sustainability Efforts

In line with its sustainability goals, Formula 1 aims to achieve Net Zero by 2030. After the testing, much of the freight will remain at the Sakhir circuit to prepare for the Bahrain Grand Prix, scheduled for April 11-13. This efficient logistics plan supports both the environment and the teams’ readiness for the upcoming race.
