Bahrain is making headlines as the proud host of the 17th Arab Games in 2031, a first for the island nation.

The announcement came during the 22nd General Assembly of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, held on November 21, 2024, in Jordan under the leadership of HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal.

The event also confirmed Jordan as the host for the 18th Arab Games in 2035, solidifying the region’s commitment to fostering sports excellence.

Representing Bahrain’s Olympic Committee were Fajr Jassim, Director of International and Arab Relations, and Ahmed Abdulghaffar, Chief Operating Officer.

Bahrain’s selection reflects its growing reputation as a hub for international sports, backed by state-of-the-art facilities and a long-standing passion for athletic achievement.
