BLACKPINK's JISOO Releases Mini Album 'Amortage'

K-pop group BLACKPINK's JISOO released her debut mini-solo album 'Amortage' on Friday, Feb. 14.

Earlier in the day, the singer released a thrilling music video for her new song 'Earthquake'.

In an interview with Billboard, the K-pop star explained, "That song captures the thrill of experiencing first love. When I first heard it, I was immediately swept up by this intense, wonderful feeling — it was like butterflies in my stomach."

The new album was released on Valentine's Day, celebrating the beauty of falling in love.

'Amortage' is a fusion of the words 'amor' and 'montage', referring to how the album depicts all the stages of love, from falling in love to the slow unravelling of warm feelings when trouble hits.

In addition to 'Earthquake', the album features the English pop ballad 'Your Love', the upbeat 'Hugs & Kisses', and bass-heavy 'Tears'.

Within 30 minutes of its release, 'Amortage' became:

• The best-selling album of 2025
• The best-selling solo album of the year
• The best-selling K-pop album
• The best-selling international album in China

Within two minutes of its release, the album was certified GOLD by QQ Music, setting a record for getting the fastest certification of the year.
