Upon arrival in any city, there are certain landmarks that leave an indelible impression, the kind you spot while landing from a plane or driving into the city. In Manama, the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence & Spa is one such unmistakable icon.

Founded over forty years ago by the visionary Mr. Ahmed Al Zayani, the establishment of this hotel was predicated on his belief in the strategic potential of the location. Mr. Al Zayani foresaw that its central location would be an irrefutable attraction to tourists, granting them accessibility to the heartbeats of the city.

From its very inception, the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel has held a prestigious position in Bahrain's hospitality landscape, synonymous with luxury, comfort, and unparalleled service.

However, like all enduring landmarks, the hotel has not shied away from change. A major expansion was unveiled in 2011 with the addition of 121 apartments to the original structure. By November 2014, the grand transformation of the Grand Ambassador Ballroom was complete, a venue that has since witnessed numerous significant events, notably a plethora of National Day celebrations. In a bid to further its commitment to modern comfort, by 2018 the hotel completed a significant renovation, embracing a contemporary touch in guest rooms, corridors, the lobby, royal lounge, and other quintessential areas, all while preserving the unique Diplomat essence. The year 2021 saw the reinvention of two of its most cherished F&B spaces: the lively and authentic Bo Sabi Asian Restaurant and the richly flavored Mondo Italian Restaurant.
