Expo 2020: More Emirates Give Paid Leave to Government Employees

Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain emirates in the UAE have announced paid leave for government employees to visit Expo 2020 Dubai.

Umm Al Quwain government employees will get eight days of their choosing, while Sharjah, Ajman and Fujairah get six days each.

The directive was issued on Thursday by His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah; His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain; His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman; and the Sharjah Executive Council.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, today issued directives to grant Dubai Government employees a six-day paid leave that will enable them to visit Expo 2020 Dubai.

The leave can be used during the period of Expo 2020, which runs from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, under the theme "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future".

As per the directives, employees will receive a total of six days of leave and will be able to use it anytime throughout the duration of the exhibition from 1 October, 2021 to 31 March, 2022
