On Monday, 11th November 2024, His Majesty The King welcomed King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to Windsor Castle, marking a special occasion during the year of King Hamad's Silver Jubilee.

A Royal Welcome at Windsor Castle

The grand welcome took place in the iconic Quadrangle of Windsor Castle, where King Charles greeted King Hamad from the dais. The arrival was marked by a Guard of Honour, formed by the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, supported by the Regimental Band, which gave a Royal Salute to the visiting monarch. The Bahraini National Anthem was played by the Band of the Welsh Guards as part of the ceremonial proceedings.

Inspection of the Guard of Honour

After the Royal Salute, King Hamad, accompanied by King Charles, inspected the Guard of Honour. This moment was followed by a military march past, with both monarchs observing from the dais.

Tea at Windsor Castle

After the formal ceremony, King Hamad joined King Charles for tea at Windsor Castle. The two monarchs then went on to undertake a series of private engagements, marking a successful and significant visit for both nations.
