  • Ingredients of Easy Kabsa

First Step

3 tbsp oil
1 red onion, thinly chopped
1 dark dried lime
3 large bay leaves
2 small cinnamon sticks

Second Step

2 boneless skinless cubed chicken breasts
2 small potatoes, peeled and cubed
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp curry powder
2 tbsp Kabsa spices
1 small chili pepper, whole
1 stock cube
1 tbsp salt

Third Step

2 cups basmati rice
2 cups hot water

    In a hot pot, heat up the oil and sauté the onion until lightly browned. Add the dried lime, bay leaves, and cinnamon sticks. Mix in tomato paste and let it sizzle for 3 minutes.

    Add water, chicken, and potatoes along with the curry powder and Kabsa spices with the stock cube. Let cook for 10 minutes on medium-high heat.
  3. Third

    Add the rice along with more water until it's covered. Reduce heat, cover the pot, and let cook for another 25 minutes. Serve with a side salad and enjoy!
