The mall is named after the Muslim explorer and scholar Ibn - - Battuta, who lived during the 14th century.  

It is the world's largest themed shopping mall with more than 275 shops, 50 restaurants, and a 21-screen cinema. It features unique monuments, majestic Islamic architecture, and incredible architectural designs. It also has a bowling alley and a trampoline park for kids.

Burjuman Mall 

It remains one of the oldest malls in Dubai that was established and opened in 1991. In 2014, a carrefour hypermarket was opened here. In total, there are around 300 retail stores and include brands like Adidas and H&M. For foods and meals, there are more than 40 restaurants and Cafes here. 

The Burjuman mall tower and The Burjuman mall Residence lie in the vicinity of the mall.

After its initial establishment in 2007, Dubai Festival City Mall was further expanded in 2017.
