Aaradhya Bachchan: Delhi High Court Seeks Response on Case

Delhi High Court has sought a response from Google on Aaradhya Bachchan's case to remove misinformation about her health after YouTube channels failed to respond to a case.

Justice Mini Pushkarna issued a notice on Aaradhya's application seeking to proceed ex-parte since the defendants did not appear in court.

The justice requested a decree in Aaradhya's favor and the hearing for the case is scheduled for Mar. 17.

The case was filed by the minor and her father Abishek Bachchan.

Aaradhya's application for a 'summary judgment' was part of a pending lawsuit. In April 2023, the court issued an interim order, stopping several YouTube channels from publishing misleading content about Aaradhya's health.

The court stated that spreading this misinformation about a child showed the 'morbid perversity' of these creators.

The lawsuit claimed that the YouTube channels violated the minor's privacy and were created purely for  "shock value, overnight popularity", and profit.

The court also directed Google to take down videos, which falsely claimed that Aaradhya was "critically ill" or "no more".

Aaradhya Bachchan is the daughter of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan and the granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.
