Bahrain to Host 2025 Strongest Man Championship This Weekend

Get ready, Manama — the region’s most muscle-packed weekend is here. The 2025 World’s Strongest Man Championship is set to take over Bahrain on April 18 and 19, transforming the outdoor arena opposite The Avenues Mall into a full-blown strength showdown.

Held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, this two-day beast of an event will pit elite athletes from Bahrain and the GCC against each other in seven seriously hardcore events — think Viking Press, Wheel of Pain, and Power Stairs. Yup, it’s as intense as it sounds.

The championship will crown not one, but two titans: Bahrain’s Strongest Man and the GCC’s Strongest Man, with competitors going head-to-head in both light and medium weight categories.

But it’s not just about lifting massive things and flipping tires — the event is all about pushing the limits of human strength, inspiring young people, and promoting fitness culture across the region. It’s part of Bahrain’s growing rep as a rising player in the global sports scene.

“Every year, the competition gets tougher — but that’s the whole point,” said one of the organizers. “We’re not just building champions. We’re building a culture of strength, resilience, and pride.”
