Bahrain to Launch New Airport with 50M Capacity by 2035

Bahrain is moving forward with plans to build a new airport in the northern region to meet the increasing demand for air travel. Currently in the feasibility study phase, the project is expected to handle up to 50 million passengers annually once completed. This new facility is being developed to support the kingdom’s air traffic growth as Bahrain International Airport is projected to reach full capacity by 2035.

Strategic Location for Enhanced Connectivity

The new airport will be located near Fasht Al Jarim, a strategic position that offers easy access to key areas. It will be connected to major highways that lead to Diyar Al Muharraq and Suhailah Island, close to Salman City, ensuring smooth transportation links for both travelers and residents.

Boosting Infrastructure and Tourism

This initiative is part of Bahrain’s broader efforts to enhance its infrastructure and promote tourism, reinforcing its role as a regional hub for travel. The new airport is expected to significantly improve the country’s connectivity and support its long-term vision for economic growth and improved travel experiences for residents and visitors alike.
