Bollywood Veteran Actor Govinda Gets Shot with His Own Gun

Bollywood veteran actor Govinda suffered an accidental bullet injury on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at his apartment in Juhu, Mumbai, India. 

The actor was immediately rushed to the hospital where the bullet was removed. Govinda is now in stable condition, reported his manager. 

The incident occurred early in the morning when the actor checked his licensed revolver before his scheduled travel to Kolkata. The revolver accidentally fell from Govinda's hands and misfired, injuring the actor's leg. 

Govinda said after recovering from his injury "With the blessings of you all and my parents, the bullet has been removed. I thank the doctors and you for keeping me in your prayers."

DCP (Zone IX) Dikshit Gedam revealed that no case has been registered as no complaint was received about the incident. A police officer has shared that a diary entry will be made after the police record statements from the actor's family members.
