Lewis Hamilton Makes Test Debut for Ferrari

Seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton made his test debut for Ferrari on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at Fiorano.

Hamilton tested a 2023 Ferrari, which was the latest model he was allowed to use and he was permitted to drive 1,000 km under F1 regulations.

The F1 star is set to complete more kilometers at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya before the three-day pre-season testing in Bahrain on Feb. 26.

Hamilton shared pictures on his social media of his recent visit to Ferrari's headquarters at Maranello. he wrote in the caption, "There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever and today, my first as a Ferrari driver, is one of those days."

He also wrote, "I’ve been lucky enough to have achieved things in my career I never thought possible, but part of me has always held on to that dream of racing in red. I couldn’t be happier to realise that dream today."

Hamilton also shared a picture of himself in Ferrari's red racing suit with the caption, "First time in red".

The F1 driver moved to Ferrari after twelve seasons at Mercedes, which was considered the biggest transfer in F1 history.

The seven-time F1 world champion will reveal his car at Ferrari's season launch alongside his teammate Charles Leclerc on Feb. 19 at Maranello after the F1 season launch event at the O2 Arena.
