Samsung Unveils Galaxy S25 Series at Unpacked in California

Samsung boss TM Roh unveiled the Samsung Galaxy S25 series on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at its first Unpacked event in San Jose, California.

The devices in the series are powered by Google's Gemini generative AI platform. The series features the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra with a built-in S Pen.

The devices in the new series use the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is designed specifically for Galaxy devices.

Galaxy S25

Display: 6.2” FHD+

Main camera: 12MP ultra-wide + 50MP wide + 10MP telephoto

Front camera: 12MP

Storage: 128/256/512GB – the 512GB option is new

Main camera: 50MP ultra-wide + 200MP wide + 50MP telephoto + 10MP telephoto

Storage: 256/512GB / 1TB

Battery: 5000mAh; up to 65% with 30-minute charging using a 45w adapter

Colors: Titanium silver blue, titanium black, titanium white silver, and titanium grey.

Colors available online: Titanium pink gold, titanium jet black, and titanium jade green

With the new Galaxy S25 devices, Samsung has introduced AI agents with multimodal capabilities, which interpret text, speech, images and videos for interactions that feel natural.

All devices in the new series will come with six months of Gemini Advanced and 2TB of Google cloud storage for free. 

The new devices of the series have Virtual Aperture, which improves the depth of shots and has new filters. The new devices also have an Audio Eraser, which removes unwanted noise in videos. 

Samsung has also introduced Log Video in the new series, which gives users advanced editing tools to create cinematic-grade videos.
