Saudi Firm Considers Buying Pokemon Go

Niantic is reportedly in talks to sell its video game division to Scopely, which is a US-based entertainment company owned by the Saudi Arabian state-controlled Savvy Games.

According to reports, the deal is worth more than $3 billion. As part of the deal, Scopely would acquire the Pokemon Go title and other games.

In August last year, Savvy Games signed a deal with Niantic to help the company expand in the Middle East and North Africa and establish regional operations in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Egypt.

Scopely's portfolio includes Monopoly Go, Scrabble, Stuble Guys, and Yahtzee.

Their portfolio also includes games based on existing franchises like Wheel of Fortune, Star Trek, and WWE Champions.
