'Stree 2': First Hindi Film to Enter the Rs.600 Crore-Club

Bollywood's 2024 horror comedy 'Stree 2' has become the first Hindi film to enter the Rs.600 crore club.

The film's production house Maddock Films shared the news on social media, writing, "Stree 2 inaugurates the ₹600-cr club, becoming the first-ever Hindi film to reach this milestone! 🔥Thank you for your unwavering love and support! 🫶"

The film's total net collection at the ticket window in India is Rs. 604.22 crore since its release on Aug. 15.

Last week, the film surpassed Shah Rukh Khan's 2023 'Jawan' and became the highest-grossing Hindi film ever at the Indian box office. 'Jawan' had earned a Rs. 582 crore net after its release in September last year, according to the trade website Sacnilk.

'Stree 2' features Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. The film is sequel to the 2018 film 'Stree', which also featured Rao, Kapoor, Tripathi, and Banerjee in lead roles, and performed well at the box office.

The 'Stree' films are part of Maddock Films' horror universe including the films 'Bhediya' and 'Munjya'.
